Project Overview Blenq (internally developed as Project Casper) is a visionary social trading platform designed to bridge the gap between financial market data, structured education, and community-driven engagement. The platform was meticulously planned and engineered in two phases. The MVP (Phase 1) focuses on building a robust, engaging community around curated market trades, news, and learning modules. The underlying architecture was specifically designed to be modular and extensible, perfectly positioning the platform for Phase 2: the integration of blockchain tech, custodial wallets, and on-chain trading without requiring major system rework.

  • Curated Social Trading Hub: Engineered a comprehensive trades marketplace where approved authors can publish setups (Entry Range, TP levels, Risk/Reward). Users can "Join" trades, track symbolic PnL, and engage via threaded comments, reactions, and gifting.
  • Dynamic Market News Feed: Developed a categorized, searchable news engine featuring infinite scrolling, deep community engagement tools (upvotes, bullish/bearish reactions), and personalized article recommendations.
  • Structured Learning Center: Built an evergreen educational library supporting articles, videos, and infographics, categorized by user skill level (Beginner to Advanced) to onboard and train new traders.
  • Unified User Dashboard: Created a centralized personal hub where users can manage their profiles, track their joined/authored trades, monitor PnL, view gift histories, and access saved content.

Technical Highlights & Architecture The defining success of Blenq lies in its perfectly planned code structure and database architecture. Utilizing PostgreSQL and Prisma, I designed a highly relational database schema capable of efficiently managing complex interactions across users, trades, participations, and deeply nested comments.

To ensure maximum visibility and performance, the front-end heavily utilizes Next.js. Public-facing pages (Home, Market News, Learning) leverage Static Site Generation (SSG) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to achieve flawless SEO and sub-200ms load times. Meanwhile, highly interactive elements like the user dashboard and live engagement counters are hydrated client-side for a frictionless, app-like experience. Crucially, the entire API and data layer was structured with forward compatibility in mind, laying secure, scalable groundwork for upcoming Web3 wallet and on-chain payout integrations.
